Today, many people have a wide range of expectations about what a church should be and do. At FBC our vision is that we should be God-centered and yet people-oriented. Our primary concern is to glorify God through His worship and the proclamation of His Word that is directed to mankind's need for forgiveness and reconciliation with God. Our concern is to bring the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ to everyone around us.

Following the directions of Jesus in Matthew 28:18-20, we seek to make disciples and to teach them all things that Jesus commands. This duty extends well beyond our local assembly because Christ's concern is for "all the nations."

Our ministries include local outreach and missions that reach the farthest parts of the globe as we participate in gospel endeavors worldwide.

Global Ministries
First Baptist Church gives direct support to missions and church planting efforts in India, the Middle East, and China. We also contribute financially to foreign missions activities of other churches, and we pray regularly for our brethren in other lands. Part of FBC's ongoing benevolence and prayer life is for the persecuted and suffering church, as we keep aware of special needs and send financial help.

Local Ministries
Taking the gospel of Jesus Christ to those around us includes showing Christian benevolence and concern for many age groups and needs. We seek to contact people directly and to spend time with them as we explain God's plan of salvation from sin and His promise of eternal like through Jesus Christ, His Son. Some of our current opportunites for outreach include:

Bible Studies:
Members of the church regularly hold home Bible studies so they can invite neighbors and friends to hear the gospel, or gather to pray for the needs of Christ's kingdom. To see if there's a home Bible study near you, please contact the church office.

Other Outreaches:
The church also participates in special community events at which gospel literature is distributed to the general public.
